Marc Koska

Curation

Marc is our license holder and leads on big part of of conference curation. Marc has spoken and TED Global and TEDMED events and also is celebrated inventor of medial devices, including a range of once-use syringes, which have saved thousands of lives around the world! (Committee member and volunteer since the beginning)

Alyx Manly

Communications / Marketing / Speaker Team

Alyx runs a number of our marketing activities and is vital part of our project management team; supporting our speakers in planning and throughout the event.

In her day-job Alyx drives marketing and strategy in the travel sector, for one of the world’s biggest brands.   (Committee member and volunteer since 2017)

Toby Moore

Curation

Toby is our lead curator and event manager. He looks after the organising team and oversees the selection of the speakers. Toby is also the founder & director of Yappa, a Brighton based tech startup. (Committee member and volunteer since 2013)

Kate O’Neill

Event Management

Kate is our project/operations manager and looks after all our speakers whilst they plan their talks. Kate is also a senior leader in the charity sector and is currently working for Headway West Sussex. (Committee member and volunteer since 2016)

Sam Orams

Production

Sam is our creative director and producer and was the lead curator for our 2014 and 2015 events when together with Marc Koska and Steve Stewart they grew the event from 300 to 1500 attendees, moving it from the Corn Exchange into the Dome concert hall. Sam is also founder and chief creative of the Brighton based production and social media advertising company Creative Bookers.

Steve Stewart

Marketing

Steve has been applying his extensive marketing and commercial experience to TEDxBrighton since 2014, which has helped it grow into one of the annual highlights of the Brighton social calendar. An award winning marketing director, Steve’s company applies the same in-depth market knowledge and commercial acumen to help develop and grow companies in the hospitality and tourism industries across the UK and Europe. (Committee member and volunteer since 2014)
