What are you doing on Friday 26th October 2012?

We are unfathomably excited (try saying that quickly and in a squeaky, high pitched and excited voice …) to announce a date for the 2012 TEDxBrighton! Save this date in your diaries:

Friday October 26th 2012 [Full Day]

TEDxBrighton will be at the Brighton Dome – Corn Exchange and we are also ridiculously excited to have secured such a fantastic venue, right in the heart of Brighton.

October isn’t actually all that far away. We’d like to say it’s just on the other side of the summer, but as summer has been feeling somewhat inconstant we’ll content ourselves with the observation that October is only just over 2 months away. That isn’t long.

We’re also thrilled to announce that we now also have TEDster Marc Koska on the team. Marc’s infectious energy, enthusiasm and TED experience are a hugely welcome addition to the event. He and our lovely Natalie Lloyd are taking the reins as co-organisers.

It seems remarkably apposite that we should have some balance in age representation (along, happily, with gender balance) between our two organisers. Without going into detail, it seems safe enough to say that Natalie is younger while Marc is older – fitting nicely with our theme of The Generation Gap and our commitment to demographic diversity.

Right, with all that sorted I guess we’d better get stuck into organising and putting on the event …
