Elaine is one of the key players behind EDL (English Disco Lovers) and the HummingBird project.
 
Elaine is also is a highly energised activist and social provocateur for human rights, race equality and refugee welfare. Elaine has dedicated a huge part of her life to not just building and delivering social, welfare and healthcare support to refugees in the camps in Calais, but also to spread a message of love, acceptance and welcoming through the use of disco themed protest. Elaine’s story is by definition heroic.
 
At TEDxBrighton This year you will hear how Elaine has setup social support centres in refugee camps and battled against governments to provide care and support to the people in our world who need it most.
